Maksim Chmerkovskiy Signs With ICM Partners (Exclusive)
The outspoken “Dancing With the Stars” pro won his first mirror ball trophy on the most recent season of the long-running ABC show.
Dancing With the Stars’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy has signed with ICM Partners, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
Since joining the ABC competition in its second season, Chmerkovskiy has become a breakout celebrity in his own right, with his sizzling moves on the dance floor and his outspoken personality off of it. In his 14 seasons on the show he was a Top 3 finalist five times, finally winning the coveted mirror ball trophy in May with his partner, Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis.
On July 29 he announced on The View that he would not return for DWTS’ 19th season. His signing with a major agency (he previously was with Rebel Entertainment Partners) signals that he is ready to parlay his DWTS fame into further opportunities. The Ukrainian native has appeared on TV Land’s The Exes, this summer’s ABC Family drama Chasing Life and General Hospital, on which he had a three-episode arc during the soap’s 50th anniversary last year.
Chmerkovskiy continues to be managed by Lizzie Grubman.
