Male Star of Tomorrow: Emile Hirsch

Empty

This isn't the first time Emile Hirsch has been called the Star of Tomorrow -- the label ShoWest will bestow upon him at tonight's ceremony: Both the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the National Board of Review crowned him with similar honors in January.

But Hirsch has been working quite steadily for the past decade. Most recently, his turn in 2007's "Into the Wild" garnered him two SAG Award nominations.

This spring, Hirsch leaves the great outdoors behind with the release of Warner Bros.' "Speed Racer" and later reunites with "Into the Wild" director Sean Penn for Focus Features' upcoming docudrama "Milk" -- though this time Penn joins Hirsch in front of the camera.
