The dizzying height of a Manhattan high-rise is no match for Sam Worthington in the trailer for Summit’s upcoming thriller, Man on a Ledge.

Worthington plays Nick Cassidy, an escaped convict, who steps out on a ledge in what appears to be a suicide attempt. As Elizabeth Banks, a NYPD psychologist, attempts to talk him down, it becomes clear that there are unknown factors at play. With the city watching, Banks’ character attempts to find out just what ulterior motives are behind Cassidy’s actions.

STORY: Sam Worthington Apologizes for 'Clash of the Titans'

The film is due for a Jan. 13 release under the direction of Asger Leth. Joining Worthington and Banks in the cast are Jamie Bell, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Genesis Rodriguez and Kyra Sedgewick. Watch the trailer below.
