Management/Production Company The Cartel Opens New York Office
The firm has hired Jacquelina DeMarco Jones to run the operations there.
Management and production company The Cartel has opened an office in New York, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Jacquelina DeMarco Jones has rejoined the firm to run the operations there, having originally worked at The Cartel in 2012. Jones comes from Heresy Films, where as a development executive and new business representative she helped lead the sales department in establishing that company's office on the East Coast.
Jones has a roster of New York-based talent and literary clients that she has brought with her, including director Rob Gilbert, playwright Stan Richardson, actor Michael O'Leary and author Peter Danish.
In addition to signing and servicing clients based in New York, the new office also will work to create opportunities on the East Coast for The Cartel's clients in Los Angeles and London.
"Launching a Manhattan office has always been a plan of the company's," co-CEO Stan Spry said Monday in a statement. "Given Jacquelina's history with The Cartel, and her unique New York relationships and extraordinary eye for talent, she is the perfect person to head up our new offices."
