Style Notes: Manolo Blahnik Doc In the Works; EOS Settles Lawsuit

A new documentary about the life of iconic shoe designer Manolo Blahnik is currently the works. Titled Manolo (The boy who made shoes for lizards), the Content Media-produced film will feature interviews with fashion elite including Anna Wintour, Rihanna and Andre Leon Tally as well as Candace Bushnell, the Sex and the City author who arguably launched him to one-name fame with Carrie Bradshaw's obsession with "Manolos." EOS Lip Balm, the company which makes the round balms that everyone from Miley Cyrus to Emma Roberts has touted on Instagram, has settled the class-action lawsuit which alleged that the product causes rashes and bleeding. Lawyer Mark Geragos, who filed the suit, said in a statement: "EOS makes great products and the company is doing the right thing by adding more information about their lip balm products on packaging so that buyers can make informed choices." The Penn children, Dylan and Hopper, have stepped into the spotlight as the new stars of Fay's 2016 campaigns. The teenage offspring of Sean Penn and Robin Wright were photographed in Palm Springs looking Coachella-ready while posing on and around a motorcycle. The desert scene looks very similar to the location where their pops met "El Chapo," but this time there are no silk shirts. [WWD]
ABC has ordered a TV pilot loosely based on the life of Eileen Ford, the founder of Ford Modeling Agency. The fictionalized interpretation of Robert Lacey's biography Model Woman: Eileen Ford and the Business of Beauty is a period piece set in the 1970s in the midst of the Model Wars.
