Mark Lindsay joins Arclight Films

Industry veteran named president, sales and acquisitions

Mark Lindsay has been named president, sales and acquisitions, for Arclight Films and will head up the company's new New York office.

Lindsay, who has held posts at Miramax International, Spelling Films International and Lorimar Motion Pictures, most recently served as president of Kimmel International, which he left in June.

Arclight managing director Gary Hamilton announced the appointment on Wednesday, saying, "Mark is one of the industry's most experienced international sales and distribution executives, and he has a long and successful involvement in identifying projects and negotiating financing for features and co-productions."

During his career, Lindsay has overseen the licensing and international distribution of such films as "Chicago," "Scream," "Scary Movie," "Kill Bill," "Sin City" and "The Usual Suspects."

He is a former member of the International Film and Television Alliance's board of directors.

Arclight COO Kevin Fry brokered Lindsay's deal with the company.
