Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe's 'Broken City' Trailer Hits Online (Video)
A former cop and a New York City mayor don’t see eye to eye in the film also starring Catherine Zeta-Jones.
A charismatic mayor with a dark side asks a hero ex-cop for a favor.
How could this go wrong?
The gritty first trailer for Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg’s Broken City starts with Crowe (as the mayor of New York) creepily asking Wahlberg’s cop if he's ever been hunting, and then ordering the cop find out who his wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is sleeping with.
The cop does his part, delivering photographic proof of the affair to the cuckolded mayor. But things take an ugly turn when the man in the photos turns up dead, and suddenly the mayor and the cop are at odds.
“This isn’t what it seems,” Zeta-Jones’ character says, as the plot thickens.
The Warner Bros. thriller from director Allen Hughes is slated for a Jan. 18 release. It also stars Jeffrey Wright, Barry Pepper and Kyle Chandler.
