Mark Wahlberg Sells Comedy Pilot 'Home Game' to CBS
CBS has picked up the half-hour multi-camera comedy pilot Home Game inspired by the life of three-time Super Bowl champion and NFL pro Mark Schlereth.
The CBS TV Studios/Leverage pilot is from executive producers Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson and writers-executive producers Chris Nowak and Warren Bell.
Schlereth, currently an ESPN commentator, will also help produce, along with Lisa and Alexandria Schlereth and Peter Sussman.
Home Game is about a retired NFL player who returns home to his wife and daughters. It marks the second ESPN-related pilot pickup by CBS in a single day. The network earlier picked up a workplace comedy pilot inspired by ESPN personality Colin Cowherd's talk show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
