On the heels of the news that Kanye West's Adidas sneakers will be dropping in June, the German sportswear behemoth has another partnership coming up that's worth squealing over. British designer Mary Katrantzou -- known for her crazy-cool colorful prints -- has teamed up with Adidas for a line of women's apparel and footwear, which was announced Tuesday.

The designer -- whose printastic pieces have been worn on the red carpet by Kerry Washington, Keira Knightley, Elizabeth Banks and Saoirse Ronan -- tells WWD that the German brand approached her while she was working on her spring 2014 collection, which was "based on shoes and a big part of it was based on sneakers."

Although there's no date on when her first Adidas collection will drop, the range will be unisex, even though it's categorized as a women's line. "Age was not important, and we wanted the footwear to be for both men and women," she said.

Katrantzou will follow after Dior creative director Raf Simons and American fashion designer Rick Owens, who have previously collaborated with Adidas. She will also be the first to design a women's focused collection since Stella McCartney's line.
