Mary McCormack Signs With CAA (Exclusive)
The "In Plain Sight" star recently completed production on the indie thriller "A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island."
Mary McCormack has signed with CAA, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The film, television and stage actress starred as a tough U.S. Marshal in the USA series In Plain Sight for five seasons. She joined the cast of The West Wing in season five as Deputy National Security Advisor Kate Harper, remaining with the drama for the rest of the series. Earlier this season she starred in the NBC freshman comedy Welcome to the Family.
McCormack earned a Tony nomination for best featured actress for her turn as a teutonic flight attendant in the 2008 Broadway staging of the classic farce Boeing-Boeing, which won best revival that year. She previously starred as Sally Bowles in Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall’s first Broadway revival of Cabaret. Her other stage credits include Neil LaBute’s Bash in London as well as David Warren-directed productions of My Marriage to Ernest Borgnine and A Fair Country in New York.
McCormack recently completed production on the indie thriller A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island, opposite Dianna Agron, AnnaSophia Robb and Frank Grillo. She also has appeared in Christopher Guest’s For Your Consideration, Deep Impact and Private Parts, as Howard Stern’s wife.
