Mathison, Shepherd to host Daytime Emmys

SoapNet's 'MVP' to air after awards telecast

ABC daytime staples Cameron Mathison and Sherri Shepherd have signed on to host the 35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will air at 8 p.m. June 20 on ABC.

In addition, "MVP," the new original scripted series from ABC's sister channel SoapNet, will air on the alphabet network immediately after the awards show. "MVP," which follows the on- and off-the-ice drama surrounding the Mustangs hockey team and the women in their lives, premieres June 19 on SoapNet.

Mathison co-stars on ABC's soap "All My Children." He also hosts SoapNet's reality series "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" and recently competed on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

Shepherd co-hosts ABC's daytime talker "The View" and also had a role in ABC's comedy series "Less Than Perfect."
