McAuley back in vid game at Paramount
EmptyLONDON -- Paramount Home Entertainment U.K. has named former Universal Pictures International executive Charlie McAuley its new managing director, the company announced Thursday.
McAuley, who has considerable experience in the retail end of home entertainment as well as distribution, will relocate from Ireland to London. He replaces Nigel Hall, who was ousted in September as part of a wide-ranging reorganization at Paramount Home Entertainment. McAuley will report to Don Hunton, senior vp of Paramount Home Entertainment, Asia Pacific, U.K. and Ireland.
Most recently involved in business consultancy in Ireland, McAuley left the entertainment industry in 2003 after working as vp Latin America and Asia Pacific for UPI.
