Exclusive Media Group Partners with Zipper Bros Film for a First-Look Deal

The company, which produced football documentary “Undefeated” premiering at the Toronto Film Festival, will be making two documentaries a year.

Exclusive Media Group is getting into the documentary game.

Following its collaboration on Undefeated, the inspirational football story which premieres today at TIFF, Exclusive is partnering with documentary production company Zipper Bros Films for a first-look deal that will see the development, financing and production of two documentaries a year.

The docs will focus on a social purpose aspect and be released via Exclusive’s Spitfire Pictures label. Zipper Bros Films is a backed by a consortium of physicians and surgeons who want to bring socially relevant stories to the big-screen.

Undefeated follows an inner-city Memphis football team. It was picked up by the Weinstein Co. at this year’s SXSW and will be released this fall.

"This entire experience – making Undefeated  and working together with Nigel and the team at Exclusive  has been incredible.  Zipper Bros has a number of projects in the pipeline that are ready to take the next step.  This deal allows both Exclusive and Zipper Bros to explore that  next step more fully," said Glen Zipper.

Exclusive’s Hammer Films is behind The Woman in Black, the Daniel Radcliff’s
ghost story that is being released by CBS Films.
