Melania Trump Thanks Chelsea Clinton for Defending Barron Trump

"#StopChildhoodBullying" tweeted FLOTUS.

Melania Trump and Chelsea Clinton have something in common, and it's not just the fact that they have both called the White House home.

On Tuesday, the pair both spoke out against media scrutiny of youngest Trump heir, Barron Trump. Clinton came to the defense of Barron on Twitter after The Daily Caller ridiculed his fashion choices and demanded the 11-year-old start "dressing like he's in the White House."

"It's high time the media and everyone leave Barron Trump alone," tweeted Clinton, who has a track record of defending the First Kid's right to privacy despite her political differences with his father.

First Lady Melania thanked Clinton for her support Tuesday evening, tweeting, "So important to support all of our children in being themselves!" along with the hashtag, "#StopChildhoodBullying."

The First Lady's words, and specifically, her hashtag, remind us of her anti-bullying platform, which she first addressed as a top priority on the campaign trail. Melania pledged to do everything in her power as FLOTUS to stomp out cyberbullying. (It would, after all, be a bit hypocritical if her husband were to champion such a cause.)

And lest you think this is just a PR machine or the president's puppeteering at work, the White House confirmed to CNN last week that the First Lady has complete autonomy when it comes to her social channels. According to the spokesperson, she does not check in with her husband before posting messages, and does not rely on a team to do her posting for her.
