The gig marks the Hollywood actress' third narration of a MacGillivray Freeman Films documentary after "The Living Sea" and "Hurricane on the Bayou."

TORONTO - Meryl Streep is to narrate To The Arctic 3D, a co-production from MacGillivray Freeman Films and Warner Bros. Pictures to bow in Imax theaters on April 20, 2012.

The documentary by Oscar-nominated Greg MacGillivray (The Living Sea, Dolphins) takes viewers to the top of the world in a tale of survival.

Streep’s narration follows the Hollywood actress starring as Margaret Thatcher in Phyllida Lloyd's The Iron Lady, and Warner Bros. and MacGillivray Films striking a strategic alliance.

To The Arctic 3D is also MacGillivray Freeman's third collaboration with Streep after she narrated Hurricane on the Bayou and The Living Sea.
