Former Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan confirmed to Charlotte, N.C.'s WCNC NewsChannel 36 that he proposed to longtime girlfriend, Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto, on Christmas Day.

The Charlotte Bobcats majority owner and his first wife, Juanita Jordan, were married for 17 years but divorced in 2006. They have three children, Jeffrey, 23, Marcus, 21, and Jasmine, 19.

He wasn't alone in his holiday proposal. Actor Matthew McConaughey, singer John Legend, American Idol alum Danny Gokey and judge Steven Tyler also popped the question over the holidays, and singer Wynonna Judd said "Yes" to fellow musician Scott "Cactus" Moser.
