Michelle Obama's Mic-Drop Moment in Jason Wu
Game over, she wins.
President Barack Obama and the first lady welcomed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie, to the White House on Thursday evening for a little friendly wining and dining (a state dinner, to use the technical term).
But amongst the good-looking foursome, it was Michelle Obama who caught our eye — an undeniable feat because have you seen Justin Trudeau? Even Sophie's bright gown by Lucian Matis couldn't steal the spotlight.
FLOTUS was flawless in a strapless floor-length gown by Jason Wu (a favorite designer of the first lady's) that she styled with bouncy waves and a smoky eye. The navy number, crafted in a thick fabric embroidered with gold and ruby flowers, made for an elegant yet rich look, not unlike the crisp, tailored pieces in the same textile that Wu sent down the fall 2016 runway in New York.
But wait, there's more! As Michelle milled about for photos, she revealed a center slit, which gave us a peek at her strappy silver heels and matching pedicure. She wins.
