Mike Goldsmith joins City National Grove of Anaheim
Former AEG Live, Live Nation exec tapped as director of talent for Nederlander Concerts venue.
Mike Goldsmith has joined the 1,700-seat City National Grove of Anaheim venue as director of talent, Nederlander Concerts CEO Alex Hodges announced Tuesday.
Goldsmith will book and promote live entertainment for the theater, which has been exclusively managed, operated and booked by Nederlander since October 2002. He also will book talent for the company’s other venues as well as third-party facilities throughout the West.
Most recently, Goldsmith was with Concerts West/AEG Live as tour director, where he booked acts across North America and worked with such artists as Christina Aguilera, the Eagles and the Spice Girls reunion tour. He oversaw tour ticketing, marketing and production and was responsible for routing, business plans and tour financials.
Before that, Goldsmith worked for Live Nation Touring, where he managed touring properties and determined the viability of artists in specific markets to make well-informed tour offers. He began his career in the New York mailroom of WMA.
“As a former tour producer, promoter and director, Mike’s relationships in the industry will greatly benefit the talent booked at the City National Grove of Anaheim, and we are pleased that he has joined our team,” Hodges said.
City National Grove of Anaheim, adjacent to Angel Stadium, is owned by the city.
