After Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, Betty White Gets Invited to Marine Corps Ball (Video)
First it was Mila Kunis. Then it was Justin Timberlake. And now Betty White has snagged her very own video invitation to the Marine Corps Ball.
Sgt. Ray Lewis posted a video on YouTube on Friday asking the 90-year-old actress -- and newly named Emmy nominee for TV Land's Hot in Cleveland -- to be his date for the Nov. 18 event in North Carolina.
"She's funny, she's sweet, she's mature, she's the all-around perfect woman," Lewis says in explaining why he chose White to ask to be his date. "I really think that we'd have a good time. I'm fun."
He also notes that he's performing at the event as a rapper.
The craze was sparked when Kunis last week accepted a YouTube invitation from Sgt. Scott Moore to go to the ball.
“Never did I say that I was not going,” Kunis said, addressing rumors that she could not move forward with her date with Moore due to work conflicts. “I am attending. I’m going. Nov. 18, I will be there.”
She added: "I accepted an invitation and I’m staying true to my word. I got permission to be released from work for the day, so I’m flying in and flying out.”
A few days later, Kunis' Friends With Benefits co-star Timberlake accepted an invitation from U.S. Marine Kelsey de Santis extended through a YouTube video.
“If my schedule works out to do it, I’d love to do it. It’s an honor,” Timberlake said at a press conference touting his upcoming comedy.
No word yet on whether White plans to attend.
