Miley Cyrus Backtracks on Rebecca Black Diss
Miley Cyrus says she didn't mean to insult Rebecca Black, whose much-derided hit, "Friday," has been streamed more than 80 million times on YouTube (and re-created by everyone from Conan O'Brien to Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Taylor Hicks).
Cyrus said on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show, "You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour." But she says the comment wasn't directed at Black.
"I am a fan of Rebecca Black," Cyrus told E! Saturday at the Kids' Choice Awards in L.A. of Black, who was a reporter at the awards show. "I love Rebecca Black. I just got misquoted. I think she's great."
"I actually have this really embarrassing video that my sister has on her phone," she went on, "and I'm just waiting till the day that she puts it on YouTube. It's me driving, singing Rebecca Black and my hands are not always on the wheel while I'm singing the song. Not so good."
