The singer was forced to cancel a show at the Sprint Center in Kansas City during her Bangerz tour due to the adverse effects of her medication.
Miley Cyrus has been admitted to hospital and forced to cancel her show on Tuesday night due to a bad allergic reaction to her medication.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer is currently on her U.S. Bangerz tour and was scheduled to perform at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., but instead is laid up in bed after taking antibiotics.
"Kansas I promise I'm as heartbroken you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel sh***ier than I already do," she tweeted. "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me," she added, with a photo of her leggy friend to cheer her up.
The venue released a statement to fans explaining that "Miley Cyrus' 'Bangerz' tour date scheduled for tonight, April 15, at Sprint Center in Kansas City has been canceled.
Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled.
"Refunds for tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded." Cyrus had complained of feeling ill the day before on Twitter, stating that she had a fever, sore throat and was "#SICK."
It has been a tumultuous month for the 21-year-old, following a tour bus fire en route to her concert in New Orleans on March 17. She canceled another show on April 7 in Charlotte, N.C., citing a bout of the flu.
The week before, Miley had performed in Boston, but the show had included a tearful rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s "Landslide" as a dedication to a dog, Floyd, who was killed by a coyote.
