Milla Jovovich, Paul W.S. Anderson Expecting Baby
Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson are about to embark on another project together.
The star and the director of the Resident Evil franchise are expecting their second child, with Jovovich, 38, confirming the news on her Facebook page. The couple have been married since 2009 and welcomed daughter Ever in 2007.
Jovovich explained in the post that the impending bundle of joy will delay the couple's plans to move forward with upcoming sequel Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Jovovich has starred in all five previous Resident Evil films, and Anderson has written all five and directed three.
"So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle [a new Resident Evil] movie," she wrote. "Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo!"
Jovovich added that she and Anderson "want to make the best movie possible" and that they are appreciative of the "amazing fans who have been so patient waiting for the next installment." Work has already begun on the sequel but will now be held until the couple can begin filming it in South Africa in summer 2015.
