The strategic partnership between Gravitas and Millennium will allow both companies to focus on core competencies while simultaneously broadening access to independent content.
“We have been hyper-focused on video on demand for seven years now. As we’ve seen the marketplace evolve, many producers, filmmakers and sales agents have asked us to be all-rights buyers,” Gravitas Ventures president Michael Murphy said. “Millennium is extremely well positioned to ensure that key acquisitions have a vibrant life in the physical space, and we’re truly excited to be working with them.”
Added Millennium Entertainment president Steve Nickerson: “This relationship is the perfect evolution for two leading companies in their respective arenas that will not only benefit our films and filmmakers but also audiences across all platforms.”
