'Minute to Win It' books summer session
Game show will be 'America's Got Talent' lead-inNBC is adding freshman game show "Minute to Win It" to its summer reality lineup.
The network plans to launch the show on July 7 and then run it straight through until fall (Sept. 8) with a mix of original episodes and encores. "Minute" will serve as the lead-in for the network's top-rated "America's Got Talent" on Wednesday nights.
Though it has typically aired on Sundays, NBC has tested "Minute" a few times on Wednesdays this season, with the most recent airing tying to win the hour with a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. NBC also owns the show, so the move also benefits UMS.
"Minute" features contestants in a series of simple competitions using everyday household items for a $1 million prize.
