'Minute to Win it' Sold to Ecuador and Panama

Mexico's Televisa also orders the game show, which airs on NBC in the U.S.

MEXICO CITY -- Sony Pictures Television's 2waytraffic has sold the competition game show format Minute to Win it to Gama TV in Ecuador and Corporacion Medcom in Panama as the program enjoys a successful run in Latin America. 

Created by Stockholm-based Friday TV, Minute to Win it has been sold to nine territories in Latin America. The show will bow on Gama TV in August and it will hit Panama's airwaves next year.

Mexican media giant Televisa also has ordered the game show, which aired on NBC stateside.

Minute to Win it has pulled in strong ratings in Peru, Uruguay and Argentina.

The Spanish-language version in Argentina, dubbed Minuto para Ganar, performed exceptionally well on terrestrial channel Telefe

"Ratings were so high in Argentina that the broadcaster began airing the series twice a week," said Carolina Sabbag, 2waytraffic's director of format sales in Latin America.
