MIPCOM 2012: Cineflix Rights Signs Library Distribution Deal with LMNO Productions
The London-based distributor will mine the U.S. producer's 450-hour back catalog for worldwide sales over three years.
CANNES – Canadian distributor Cineflix Rights has inked a three-year deal to sell library and new titles from U.S. producer LMNO Productions into the world market.
The exclusive three-year deal, signed ahead of MIPCOM, sees Cineflix Rights handle LMNO's 450-hour back catalogue, and new programming.
Los Angeles-based LMNO has produced a slew of programming for U.S. conventional and cable networks, including CBS, NBC, FOX, Discovery Channel, TLC, Lifetime, A&E and OWN.
The LMNO slate to be shopped by Cineflix includes 50 hours of Unusual Suspects, about everyday people in unexpected situations, 100 half-hours of The Little Couple, about a married couple building a new family and buying a home in a new city, and Cheating Vegas, which investigates elaborate scams of modern gaming.
Cineflix Rights will also mine the LMNO library for possible exploitation of IP.
“LMNO is one of the few television production companies that retains the ownership of its shows, so for us this new partnership is with the right company at the right time,” Eric Schotz, president/CEO of LMNO Productions, said of the tie-up with Cineflix Rights.
