CANNES - The Foundation, the U.K.-based production company owned by France's Zodiak Kids, has signed a deal with Singapore studio One Animation to co-develop and produce a slate of three animated children's TV series.

The companies plan to begin production in late 2012, taking advantage of Singapore's state-of-the art facilities. The island nation has been an active booster of its local film and television industry. Through subsidies and favorably regulatory conditions, the Singapore government has in the past few years actively courted international companies to come and shoot in the country.
