It will also represent adaptations of Mary Higgins Clark bestsellers for television and video publishing rights.

CANNES – France TV distribution will handle worldwide distribution and video publishing rights for ambitious mini-major studio EuropaCorp Television’s upcoming series The Passenger and Mary Higgins Clark Collection.

The series will be broadcast on France Televisions’ public channels France 2 and 3 in 2014. Though shot in French, both are based on bestsellers by acclaimed international authors and aimed at international audiences.

Jean-Christophe Grange’s ninth novel, gruesome crime drama The Passenger, will be adapted for France 2 into a six-part series starring Cesar-winning actor Jean-Hugues Anglade and Raphaelle Agogue (Comme un Chef), produced by EuropaCorp’s Thomas Anargyros and Edouard de Vesinne, who are fresh off the success of No Limit. Veteran film and TV helmer Jerome Cornau (“Les Brigades du Tigre”) will direct.

Three of mystery maven Clark’s bestselling novels will be adapted into made-for-TV movies, including Daddy’s Little Girl, Two Little Girls in Blue and Where Are You Now? Each episode will feature a different female detective on the case. Daddy’s Little Girl is up first, starring French actresses Marie Denarnaud and Marie-Christine Barrault (Stardust Memories), to be directed by Olivier Langlois
