The Canadian kids animation series is also headed to Turner's Kids Networks and Disney in Southeast Asia.

Kids cartoon series Freaktown from Canada's Portfolio Entertainment has signed a raft of Southeast Asian TV sales deals.

Freaktown, to debut in 2016, has been picked up by Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific, Turner’s Kids Networks in EMEA, The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia and ABC Australia. The kids animated series aimed at 6 to 11 year-olds follows the adventures of skeleton Ben Bones and his freaky friends as they protect their town from takeover by Princess Boo Boo, the Bouncy of Sweetlandia.

The series will debut on Cartoon Network in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. Turner France has taken the series for Boing in France and in its French-speaking territories in Europe and Africa.

Freaktown is the first series to emerge from Portfolio’s new animation studio, and was originally ordered by Teletoon Canada, the cable cartoon channel.
