MIPCOM to Host 'Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch'
MIPCOM organizers Reed MIDEM have partnered with Lifetime Networks for the unprecedented event that will bring together 100 of the most influential female entertainment executives.
Ladies who lunch at this year’s MIPCOM will include 100 of the most influential female executives from international TV and entertainment when Reed MIDEM and Lifetime networks host the first ever “Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch.” The brand new senior-level networking event on will be held on day one of MIPCOM, Monday Oct. 8, at the Carlton Hotel.
The by-invitation-only event was designed as a global platform for women in entertainment to connect, network and expand business opportunities on an international level.
The prestigious invites will be extended to execs from major studios, production companies, TV networks and leaders in technology and digital media.
Lifetime Networks’ president and general manager Nancy Dubuc will lead a panel discussion where selected execs will share the experiences that have shaped their careers and their visions of the future.
“MIPCOM is attended by a who’s who of women entertainment executives from over 100 countries whose influence and vision over the programming we consume worldwide need to be recognised,” director of Reed MIDEM’s Television Division Laurine Garaude said, adding: “For the first time, MIPCOM will provide a forum for these women to exchange best business practices and pass on their experience to their international peers.”
MIPCOM 2012 will run from Oct. 8 – 11 in Cannes.
