MIPCOM: ProSiebenSat1 Picks Up Canadian Cop Drama 'Played' for Germany

The police procedural was acquired by Channel 5 for the UK ahead of the Cannes TV market.

CANNES -- ProSiebenSat1 has acquired the Canadian cop drama Played from Muse Distribution International.

"We are looking forward to working together with Muse and are thrilled that we have secured the broadcasting rights of Played for our German-speaking stations," Rudiger Boss, senior vp group programming acquisitions at ProSiebenSat.1 said Sunday in a statement.

MIPCOM: UK's Channel 5 Picks Up Drama 'Played'

Played, a CTV drama about elite undercover cops infiltrating criminal worlds, is produced by Muse Entertainment (The Kennedys) and Back Alley Film Production.

It stars Vincent Walsh, Chandra West and Lisa Marcos.

Ahead of MIPCOM, Britain's Channel 5 acquired the Canadian series for the UK.
