MIPTV: Gordon Ramsay's 'Hotel Hell' Sells To France, Sweden, Belgium
The follow-up format to Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares" debuts in the U.S. this summer on Fox.
COLOGNE, Germany - Optomen Television has racked up a series of licensing deals for Hotel Hell, the new fixer-upper reality format from British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
France's W9, Kanal Fern in Sweden, TVM in Belgium and Poland's TVN all picked up the new show, in which Ramsay travels across the United States, trying to fix the country's worst hotels, inns and bed and breakfasts.
Hotel Hell, produced by Ramsay's shingle One Potato Two Potato, debuts on Fox in the U.S. this summer.
Optomen has also signed a series of international deals with broadcasters to adapt Ramsay's hit Kitchen Nightmare show for their local market. New deals include ones with La Sexta in Spain, TVN in Poland, Czech channel TV Prima, Finland's Nelonen and 1+1 Studios in Ukraine. In the U.S., Fox has renewed Kitchen Nightmare for a fifth season.
Optomen, a subsidiary of All3Media, is selling both formats at international television market MIP-TV, which runs April 1-4 in Cannes.
