Monday 'House' party

Fox's "House" returned Monday to a new time period and a solid rating. The medical drama was down 25% from its Tuesday average for original episodes (14.5 million viewers, 5.7 rating/13 share in adults 18-49), but still it was the highest-rated program of the evening and gave Fox its best Monday in more than a year.

Hallmark renews with Cablevision

Crown Media Holdings, owner and operator of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, has renewed its distribution agreement for Hallmark Channel with Cablevision Systems. Under the terms, Cablevision also will have the right to distribute the standard- and high-definition versions of Hallmark Movie Channel.

Hurt an 'Englishman'

John Hurt will reprise his role as English eccentric Quentin Crisp in a new film for ITV. "An Englishman in New York," from Leopardrama Prods., picks up where ITV's 1970s predecessor, "The Naked Civil Servant," left off, following the homosexual writer through 1980s Manhattan.
