In 1995, a quirky bunch of Lithuanian artists and intellectuals managed to erect a bust of Frank Zappa in downtown Vilnius, the capital of the former Soviet republic. Now, they've given a replica to Zappa's hometown. Saulius Paukstys, longtime president of a Zappa fan club, pitched the Zappa bust Wednesday to Baltimore's public art commission, and the commissioners, clearly charmed by his dogged efforts, voted unanimously to accept the gift. They'll figure out later where exactly to place it.

Living in the DVD

As the Steve Miller Band marks the 40th anniversary of the release of its first two albums, it will release its first DVD, "Live From Chicago," a three-disc set due May 20. The package contains live footage shot during a two-day stand at Chicago's Ravinia Amphitheater in July and a tour of Chicago by way of a first-person documentary that traces Steve Miller's Chicago blues roots. PBS will air portions of the DVD as part of its spring and summer fundraising drive.
