Cox deal for Lifetime

Lifetime Networks has inked a deal with Cox Communications to launch all of the company's new multiplatform channels, including Lifetime Television HD, Lifetime Movie Network HD, Lifetime on Demand and Lifetime Movie Network Espanol on Demand. Cox will begin rolling out Lifetime HD in June.

Comcast links with STAR

Comcast's International Networks and News Corp.'s STAR Group have inked an deal for International Networks to represent five of STAR's Indian channels to MSOs in the U.S. The agreement will see most of the channels on International Networks' transponder and available for MSOs immediately.

Discovery promotion

Marina Anglim has been upped to senior vp media planning and partnerships at Discovery Communications, where she will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic media plans for Discovery's 14 U.S.-based TV networks, digital media assets and e-commerce division in the U.S.

RuPaul Redux

MTV Networks' Logo has greenlighted a reality competition series starring RuPaul. "RuPaul's Drag Race" will feature contestants competing to become "America's next superstar drag queen," with RuPaul serving as host, mentor and judge.
