Joseph Ianniello has been named deputy CFO of CBS Corp. He was senior vp and chief development officer and treasurer. Ianniello will work with senior management to develop financial strategy across the company.
Digital Plus team
Shares in Spanish media giant Telefonica and France's Vivendi rose 5% apiece on reports that the two are in talks about teaming to bid for Digital Plus, the satellite TV business of Spanish media group Prisa. The pay TV operation has about 2 million customers and is being touted for sale at about €3 billion ($3.7 billion).
CW movie slate
The CW has announced its movie lineup for Sunday night. MGM library programming will take the place of MRC programming, which was pulled because of low ratings. Starting Nov. 30, the CW will air "Revenge of the Pink Panther," "Mr. Mom," "Throw Momma From the Train," "The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course," "The Cutting Edge," "Trail of the Pink Panther," "Spaceballs," "Carrie," "Anti-Trust," "Three Amigos!" and "Teen Wolf."
Fox said Monday that it will expand and move "Talkshow With Spike Feresten" for a limited six-week run. Starting Jan. 17, the Saturday program will air one-hour episodes starting at 11 p.m., while "MadTV" will air as half-hours at midnight.
