HOPE GETS LICKED

Linda Hope joined U.S. Postal Service governor Katherine Tobin in New York on Monday to preview a stamp image depicting Hope's father, Bob Hope. The stamp dedication ceremony to commemorate Hope will take place May 29 in California.

BBFC BATTLE

The British Board of Film Classification defended its turf Monday in a war of words over video game ratings. Last week, the British software publishers association ELSPA threw its weight behind the Pan-European system PEGI. But the BBFC said Monday that it has the backing of the film industry. The government is expected to announce its decision in the first quarter.

'FEED' FANS

Participant Media and DoSomething.org are partnering for "Feed the Need," a drive to collect 1 million pounds of food for Americans by Dec. 15. The endeavor is tied to April's DreamWorks/Paramount/Universal release "The Soloist," which stars Jamie Foxx as a homeless vioinist.

CORE CONCERNS

The case over whether the WGA violated labor laws by listing members who elected to become financial core members during the 100-day strike is heading back to Los Angeles. On Friday, the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board in Washington ordered the case remanded to the Los Angeles regional director with instructions to issue a complaint.
