Constantin Film has boosted its year-end forecast after nine strong months in which the German indie producer-distributor rode the success of local-language hits "The Wave" and "The Baader Meinhof Complex." Constantin now expects to earn at least $326 million this year, $26 million more than previously forecast.

LESS VANITY

Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter said Tuesday that the 2009 edition of the magazine's annual Oscar party will be held at the Sunset Tower Hotel and that its guest list and scale will be reduced. Carter cited concerns about the national economy as well as Vanity Fair's "dedication to the green movement." "It will be a cozier, more understated event," he said.

'Twist' for CICCONE

Christopher Ciccone, who has directed music videos for his sister Madonna, will make his feature directorial debut with Usonian Entertainment's "Twist." Usonian's Nathan Folks and Andrew Nagel will produce the feature, co-produced and written by Jay Milner and Karyn Milner of Clouded Leopard Prods.
