U.K.'s 'Dancing' pays for missteps

The BBC will offer a refund to fans who voted on "Strictly Come Dancing," the U.K.'s version of "Dancing With the Stars," after the show's producers opted to scrap the viewers' vote when the judges tied in the latest round. BBC head of entertainment production Jon Beazley said aggrieved viewers could seek a refund for the cost of their phone vote.

Fox TV reported that Halle Berry and Tyler Perry will host the 40th NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 12 in Los Angeles. Nominations for the awards, which honor those who promote diversity in the arts, will be announced Jan. 7.

Hallmark activism

Hallmark Channel is developing an original movie based on the life of victims-rights activist Jane Alexander, who died Sunday at 86. The movie, tentatively planned to air next year, is being produced by Grosso Jacobson Communications, with James Dalessandro writing.

'Today' and night

NBC's "Today" is prepping a primetime special for Monday. The hourlong "2008: Today Looks Back, a Holiday Special" will begin at 8 p.m.
