Kanye West had plenty to say during his three-hour "VH1 Storytellers" taping last week in Culver City, so the network has added a half-hour to his planned 60-minute episode. Expect to hear such tracks as "Good Life" and "RoboCop" along with plenty of spoken angst from one of music's most quotable stars. The show airs 9-10:30 p.m. Feb. 28.
Hulu has dumped TV.com as a distribution partner and persuaded Boxee to abandon its support. The company wouldn't say why it ended its partnership with CBS-owned TV.com. About Boxee, a provider of technology for viewing Internet content on TV screens, Hulu CEO Jason Kilar was more forthcoming. "Our content providers requested that we turn off access to our content via the Boxee product, and we are respecting their wishes," he said in a blog entry.
The Nielsen-owned Clio Awards, which honor the best in commercials and design, will present Barry Manilow and Matthew Weiner with honorary awards during the 50th anniversary ceremony in Las Vegas. Manilow will accept his May 14 at the Moving Image Awards. Weiner ("Mad Men") will accept his May 12 at the Communications Awards.
