Regal beginning for 'Tudors'

The third-season debut of Showtime's "The Tudors" on Sunday maintained the melodrama's popularity on the network, effectively matching last year's premiere and finale. Showtime tallied 1 million viewers for the show's two airings Sunday evening; when 400,000 on-demand viewers are added, 1.3 million took in the debut.

Fireworks display

Fireworks International, the television distribution arm of ContentFilm, said Tuesday that it has signed an exclusive mobile-content agreement with Mobile Streams. The deal will see Mobile Streams distribute ContentFilm animation, as well as a series of comedy shorts produced by Zepptron, to more than 50 operator partners.

Fresh idea

Lifetime Networks has partnered with Unilever brand Vaseline Aloe Fresh for a comprehensive multiplatform promotional campaign in support of the miniseries "Maneater," which airs May 30-31. Under the exclusive agreement, Vaseline Aloe Fresh will be the presenting sponsor.
