Sarah Palin has picked a collaborator for her memoir to be published by News Corp. through HarperCollins. The Alaska governor selected Lynn Vincent, an author and features editor at World magazine, a conservative Christian publication. Palin's book, currently untitled, is scheduled for release next year.

Toymaker Hasbro on Thursday appointed Deb Thomas CFO, replacing David Hargreaves, who remains COO. Thomas is with the company for 11 years. Hasbro has been attempting to translate its well-known brands into new venues and has two summer movies tied to its toys: "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra."

GameStop shares fell 15% on Thursday to $22.38 after the video game retailer said same-store sales dropped more than expected during its fiscal first quarter and it lowered its full-year forecast. Net income was $70.4 million, up from $62.1 million, and revenue rose 9% to $1.98 billion.
