Mitt Romney Endorses Gene Hackman to Play Him On Screen
The Republican nominee also admits to being a fan of “Jersey Shore’s” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi during an appearance on “Live! With Kelly and Michael.”
Mitt Romney knows which actor should play him in a movie, and the answer might surprise you.
In a Friday appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael, the GOP presidential nominee said that he’d like to see veteran actor Gene Hackman play him on screen. An interesting choice, given Hackman is 17 years Romney’s senior.

Appearing by Romney’s side was wife Ann Romney, who told hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that she’d like to be played by Michelle Pfeiffer. (For what it’s worth, Pfeiffer is 54 years old while Mrs. Romney is 63 years old.)
The revelatory interview also found Romney saying that he is a fan of Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, though it remains unclear just how much he actually knows about the reality star.
“Look how tiny she’s gotten. She’s lost weight. She’s energetic. Just her spark-plug personality is kind of fun,” he said of Polizzi, who gave birth to her first son just weeks ago.

Snooki had a political run-in of her own in July when she rubbed elbows with former presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich on The Tonight Show. “Obviously I don’t know shit about politics, but I think he’s such a cute little man,” Snooki told E! “I don’t know why everyone hates him so much.”
On the opposite end of the pop culture spectrum, Romney also said during the interview that if he could have dinner with anyone in the world, it would be Nelson Mandela.
This isn’t the first time the Romneys have weighed in on the entertainment world. Earlier this year, Ann Romney made headlines for saying that her favorite show on television is Moderm Family, which features a gay couple played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet. Said show co-creator Steve Levitan, “We’ll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding. As soon as it’s legal.”
