Model Nicole Trunfio Breastfeeds Her Son on Elle Australia Cover
While wearing Burberry, no less.
Elle Australia features not one, but two stars on the cover of its June issue: model Nicole Trunfio and her 4-month-old son, Zion, whom she is pictured breastfeeding on the cover of the subscriber edition.
This isn't the first time that high-profile, glamorous moms have been pictured feeding their kids au naturale. Model moms like Doutzen Kroes and Miranda Kerr have posted Instagrams of the act, while Olivia Wilde was featured in a Glamour editorial spread feeding her son, Otis. A few years back, Time magazine sparked a national debate over feedings when it showed a mother breastfeeding her 3-year-old son on its cover with the headline, "Are you Mom Enough?"

That being said, Justine Cullen, editor in chief of the glossy, explains that Trunfio's breastfeeding shot was not at all planned or "contrived," noting, "Zion needed a feed, Nicole gave it to him, and when we saw how beautiful they looked we simply moved her onto the set." The first-time mom does indeed look glowing in the photo, wearing a suede Burberry coat and Cartier jewels.
On the newsstand cover, Trunfio is shown cradling her naked babe while wearing a black Prada number. But doing a cover shoot with a newborn isn't all fun and games. The magazine also reported that baby Zion, whose dad is Grammy-winning artist Gary Clark Jr., apparently answered "nature’s call on the selection of international and local designer clothing worn by his mother in the shoot." Oops.
