'Modern Family's' Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell to Host Billboard Music Awards
The annual awards ceremony will be broadcast live Sunday, May 20 on ABC.
The Billboard Music Awards is about to get a dose of the Dunphys.
Modern Family stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell have been tapped to host this year's music awards ceremony, which is set to air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
“We are thrilled to have television’s favorite Emmy Award winning couple as our hosts for this year’s Billboard Music Awards,” said Richard D. Beckman, CEO of Prometheus Global Media. “Ty and Julie have captured the hearts of America with their on-screen chemistry and humor – and we look forward to having them bring that magic to the Billboard Music Awards.”
Adele, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne lead the nominees for the awards show. Carrie Underwood and Justin Bieber are among the artists set to perform.
Bowen and Burrell won Emmys in 2011 for their roles on the ABC comedy as married couple Claire and Phil Dunphy.
The Billboard Music Awards is co-executive produced by Beckman and Don Mischer Productions.
