Tribune inches up in Nov.

Tribune Co. said Thursday that revenue edged higher last month despite a continued slowdown in publishing revenue as the media company's broadcasting and entertainment group delivered an outsized gain. Tribune, whose publishing properties include the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and the Baltimore Sun, said consolidated revenue in the four weeks ending Nov. 19 rose 0.8% year-over-year to $433 million from $429 million the previous November. Tribune shares dropped fractionally Thursday to $32.16.



Dividends for New Frontier

Adult movie distributor New Frontier Media Inc. said Thursday that its board declared a special dividend and a regular semiannual dividend. The company will pay the special dividend of 60 cents on Feb. 14 to shareholders of record Jan 15. New Frontier also will pay a dividend equal to 50% of the company's free cash flow twice each year, starting for shareholders of record Sept. 30. New Frontier shares rose 4.3% on Thursday to $9.37.
