"It’s shameful how little I know about baseball," the star of Sony’s baseball drama said in the interview.
Brad Pitt may not know much about baseball, but he is officially cover worthy for Sports Illustrated.
Pitt joined a select group of non-athletes who have graced the cover of the publication for a preview of his upcoming film, Moneyball.

Pitt stars as Oakland A’s manager Billy Beane in Moneyball, Sony’s baseball drama that will open in theaters on Friday, September 23. Based on Michael Lewis' Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, the film follows Beane as he attempts to make a winning team on a meager budget by using baseball statistics.
“It’s shameful how little I know about baseball,” Pitt told Sports Illustrated. “I’m amazed they let me do this movie.”
Other non-athletes who have gotten a cover include Christian Bale, Stephen Colbert, Bob Hope, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Mark Wahlberg, Ed Sullivan, Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan.
