Monte Carlo TV Festival: Stars Step Out at Hollywood Reporter Soiree
Jury presidents Ron Perlman, Bianca Jagger and Eric Close celebrated the actors and producers behind the nominated shows.
The unparalleled glitz of Monaco became even more glamorous Wednesday night with the star-studded soiree hosted by The Hollywood Reporter at the Monte Carlo TV Festival.
The five-day festival celebrated the best of international television with the first annual nominees dinner. Executives, actors and other festival-goers honored those in the running for the Golden Nymph prize. Matt McGorry, Terry Crews and Ming Na were among the guests at the splashy soiree overlooking the sea at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel.
McGorry, who recently demonstrated his dance moves on Orange Is the New Black, said he would save them for the final night. "When I don't have to do a red carpet the next day," he said.
Jury presidents Ron Perlman, Bianca Jagger and Eric Close also celebrated the actors and producers behind the nominated shows.
How I Met Your Mother producer Carter Bays, eOne's evp global production Carrie Stein and Welcome to Sweden creator and star Greg Poehler also mingled poolside with guests such as Lillyhammer star Steven Van Zandt.
The fete was preceded by an intimate cocktail at the Palais Princier de Monaco where guests were greeted by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. Ming Na was seen snapping a selfie with the royal family in the background.
Texas Rising star Cynthia Addai-Robinson said meeting the Prince and Princes was "one of those 'pinch me' moments."
Addai-Robinson had her photo taken with the royals. "I'm going to look at that photo when I'm a grandma and definitely remember that moment forever."
Perlman, who had been in town for a week just after wrapping production on his new series Hand of God, made a bold prediction for the evening. "I'll remember arriving, but won't remember leaving," he joked. "But that's how most of my nights in Monaco have been."
