'Mother's Day' Trailer: Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Kate Hudson Have Family Issues
The Garry Marshall-directed ensemble comedy also stars Julia Roberts, Timothy Olyphant, Margo Martindale and Shay Mitchell.
Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Kate Hudson and Julia Roberts are just some of the stars whose characters are dealing with various family issues in the first trailer for Garry Marshall's latest ensemble comedy, Mother's Day.
Much like Marshall's previous holiday-themed films like Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, Mother's Day weaves together multiple storylines centered around the holiday. The film marks Roberts' fourth time starring in a movie directed by Marshall.
The Pretty Woman star plays TV host Miranda, who indicates she chose her career over having children. Aniston's Sandy is a single mom whose ex-husband, Henry (Timothy Olyphant), has recently married a much younger woman, Tina (Pretty Little Liars' Shay Mitchell). Sudeikis' Bradley is raising a teenage daughter, which includes him getting embarrassed to buy tampons at the grocery store.
And Kate Hudson's Jesse seems to be having issues with her own mom, played by Margo Martindale, who tells Jesse via Skype that she hasn't "aged that much."
The trailer also introduces viewers to Kristin, played by Tomorrowland's Britt Robertson, who was adopted and never met her birth mother.
The movie also features Sarah Chalke, Aasif Mandvi, Jack Whitehall and Loni Love and was written by Tom Hines, Anya Kochoff-Romano and Lily Hollander.
Open Road is set to release Mother's Day on April 29.
