Moviemobz snaps up three Rio titles
Docu 'They Killed Sister Dorothy' among filmsRIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Brazilian distribution company Moviemobz has acquired three films screened at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival for distribution in Brazil, including Daniel Judge's documentary "They Killed Sister Dorothy."
The docu, from Just Media, which tells of the murder of an activist nun in the Amazon, won the Audience and Grand Jury awards at this year's South by Southwest Film Festival.
The other films are Roberto Flores Pietro's Columbian drama "Wounds," from Kymeria Producciones, and Debra Pascali-Bonaro's U.S. documentary about joyful childbirth, "Orgasmic Birth," from Sunken Treasure.
Moviemobz is owned by the Rain Digital Network, which has equipped 200 screens in Brazil with the means to present digital films.
